A Note About My Memoirs…

This story that you are about to read took me ten years of off and on spurts and starts. It’s my first book and maybe my last but it is my most treasured effort.

I grew up by the seat of my pants. I give thanks to my Grandmother, Gammy, for helping me navigate the moral, loving side of me to keep me on the straight side of the tracks. She was my rock and I still miss her very much.

I’m 74 now and I know my days are numbered. I wanted to share my story with you, my reader, to give you hope and to give you inspiration. Most of all it’s truly a story of survival but you’ll see that for yourselves as you go along. I had hoped that I could pass that message on before it was too late.

My last twenty years have been fabulous and that’s because the Good Lord saw fit to bring Bob into my life. He has cared for me like I was precious glass and has given me security against the forces that nearly blew me away.

As you read my story, I hope that you find something of yourself in it. Something that will help you move on from where you are stuck or better yet validate the course you chose.

Please enjoy my book.

With a writers blessings,

Susan Tobin

“This is a powerful memoir of a young girl’s journey through adversity, abuse & perseverance. This is a book I could not put down; I felt like I was with this young girl through every step of her life…In the end though, this is a story of strength and success. A reminder that we can all overcome adversity in life and choose our own path towards happiness.”
